How to judge a duct cleaning provider yourself
We do not publish reviews on this site. If that changes, each review will link to its public source. Until then, here is how to judge any provider before you hire.
Do your homework
What to look for in a review.
Ask for a written scope
Get a quote that lists what is included: ducts, returns, blower, dryer vent or coils. A vague quote makes comparison impossible.
Check licences and insurance
Ask for their business licence and liability insurance. For gas work, ask about a Technical Safety BC licence and verify it with that authority.
Read independent reviews
Look at several public sources such as Google, Yelp, HomeStars and BBB. Read the detailed ones and look for patterns, not single scores.
Ask how they contain dust
A good provider can explain negative pressure equipment and how they protect floors and seal access points. Be wary of vague answers or very low quotes.
Watch for pressure and big claims
Be cautious of providers who promise large air quality gains or push expensive add-ons. A CMHC study, as reported by Checkbook.org, found no significant air quality gain in the homes tested.
Ask about duct cleaning in Richmond
Send a short note about your home and the service you are considering. We'll try to connect you with an independent local provider.
Call, send the form or email. A provider quotes the price, not this site.
